AI is a double-edged sword

To me AI is like a double-edged sword. On one side it helps enormously, on the other it can quietly work against you. It all depends on who is using it and how.

Someone whose skill is already high jumps far ahead the moment they use AI. They already know what is right and what is wrong, so AI simply speeds up what they have already mastered. The gap between them and someone with average skill grows wider, not narrower.

The more dangerous case is for those whose skill is still low. AI does everything, until there is no reason left to learn. It feels productive, but growth quietly stops. Over time they do not get smarter, they only get more dependent.

This is where I think we need to draw a line. Let AI handle plenty, but keep ourselves as the one supervising. We decide what to keep, what to throw away, what still needs fixing. That way our brain stays working, instead of being switched off along with the task.

And do not see AI only as a tool to get the job done. Try to see it as a partner for growth. Ask it to explain, not just to answer. Ask why one approach is better, ask for a more objective point of view, have it break something down until you truly understand it. Used this way, AI sharpens you instead of dulling you.

The same sword can protect or wound. AI is no different. It is not the tool that decides, but the way we hold it.
